We have two race conditions in the probe code which could lead to a null
pointer dereference in the interrupt handler.
The interrupt handler accesses the clockevent device, which may not yet be
registered.
First race condition happens when the interrupt handler gets registered before
the interrupts get disabled. The second race condition happens when the
interrupts get enabled, but the clockevent device is not yet registered.
Fix that by disabling the interrupts before we register the interrupt and enable
the interrupts after the clockevent device got registered.

The Kconfig options for the asm9260 timer is wrong as it can be selected by
another platform with allyes config and thus leading to a compilation failure
as some non arch related code is pulled by the compilation.
Fix this by having the platform Kconfig to select the timer as it is done for
the others drivers.

It is not possible for the clockevents core to know which modes (other than
those with a corresponding feature flag) are supported by a particular
implementation. And drivers are expected to handle transition to all modes
elegantly, as ->set_mode() would be issued for them unconditionally.
Now, adding support for a new mode complicates things a bit if we want to use
the legacy ->set_mode() callback. We need to closely review all clockevents
drivers to see if they would break on addition of a new mode. And after such
reviews, it is found that we have to do non-trivial changes to most of the
drivers [1].
Introduce mode-specific set_mode_*() callbacks, some of which the drivers may or
may not implement. A missing callback would clearly convey the message that the
corresponding mode isn't supported.
A driver may still choose to keep supporting the legacy ->set_mode() callback,
but ->set_mode() wouldn't be supporting any new modes beyond RESUME. If a driver
wants to benefit from using a new mode, it would be required to migrate to
the mode specific callbacks.
The legacy ->set_mode() callback and the newly introduced mode-specific
callbacks are mutually exclusive. Only one of them should be supported by the
driver.
Sanity check is done at the time of registration to distinguish between optional
and required callbacks and to make error recovery and handling simpler. If the
legacy ->set_mode() callback is provided, all mode specific ones would be
ignored by the core but a warning is thrown if they are present.
Call sites calling ->set_mode() directly are also updated to use
__clockevents_set_mode() instead, as ->set_mode() may not be available anymore
for few drivers.

Add clocksource driver to the Conexant CX92755 SoC, part of the Digicolor SoCs
series. Hardware provides 8 timers, A to H. Timer A is dedicated to a future
watchdog driver so we don't use it here. Use timer B for sched_clock, and timer
C for clock_event.

The Conexant CX92755 SoC provides 8 32-bit timers as part of its so called
"Agent Communication" block. Timers can be configures either as free running or
one shot. Each timer has a dedicated interrupt source in the CX92755 interrupts
controller. The first timer (Timer A) can also be configured as watchdog.
This commit adds devicetree binding definition of this hardware module. The
binding defined here should be reusable for other SoCs in the Digicolor series.

The rk3288 board uses the architected timers and these ones are shutdown when
the cpu is powered down. There is a need of a broadcast timer in this case to
ensure proper wakeup when the cpus are in sleep mode and a timer expires.
This driver provides the basic timer functionnality as a backup for the local
timers at sleep time.
The timer belongs to the alive subsystem. It includes two programmables 64 bits
timer channels but the driver only uses 32bits. It works with two operations
mode: free running and user defined count.
Programing sequence:
1. Timer initialization:
* Disable the timer by writing '0' to the CONTROLREG register
* Program the timer mode by writing the mode to the CONTROLREG register
* Set the interrupt mask
2. Setting the count value:
* Load the count value to the registers COUNT0 and COUNT1 (not used).
3. Enable the timer
* Write '1' to the CONTROLREG register with the mode (free running or user)

At least on ARM, do_div() is optimized to turn constant divisors into
an inline multiplication by the reciprocal value at compile time.
However this optimization is missed entirely whenever ktime_divns() is
used and the slow out-of-line division code is used all the time.
Let ktime_divns() use do_div() inline whenever the divisor is constant
and small enough. This will make things like ktime_to_us() and
ktime_to_ms() much faster.

hrtimer_interrupt() has the following subtle issue:
hrtimer_interrupt()
lock(cpu_base);
expires_next = KTIME_MAX;
expire_timers(CLOCK_MONOTONIC);
expires = get_next_timer(CLOCK_MONOTONIC);
if (expires < expires_next)
expires_next = expires;
expire_timers(CLOCK_REALTIME);
unlock(cpu_base);
wakeup()
hrtimer_start(CLOCK_MONOTONIC, newtimer);
lock(cpu_base();
expires = get_next_timer(CLOCK_REALTIME);
if (expires < expires_next)
expires_next = expires;
So because we already evaluated the next expiring timer of
CLOCK_MONOTONIC we ignore that the expiry time of newtimer might be
earlier than the overall next expiry time in hrtimer_interrupt().
To solve this, remove the caching of the next expiry value from
hrtimer_interrupt() and reevaluate all active clock bases for the next
expiry value. To avoid another code duplication, create a shared
evaluation function and use it for hrtimer_get_next_event(),
hrtimer_force_reprogram() and hrtimer_interrupt().
There is another subtlety in this mechanism:
While hrtimer_interrupt() is running, we want to avoid to touch the
hardware device because we will reprogram it anyway at the end of
hrtimer_interrupt(). This works nicely for hrtimers which get rearmed
via the HRTIMER_RESTART mechanism, because we drop out when the
callback on that CPU is running. But that fails, if a new timer gets
enqueued like in the example above.
This has another implication: While hrtimer_interrupt() is running we
refuse remote enqueueing of timers - see hrtimer_interrupt() and
hrtimer_check_target().
hrtimer_interrupt() tries to prevent this by setting cpu_base->expires
to KTIME_MAX, but that fails if a new timer gets queued.
Prevent both the hardware access and the remote enqueue
explicitely. We can loosen the restriction on the remote enqueue now
due to reevaluation of the next expiry value, but that needs a
seperate patch.
Folded in a fix from Vignesh Radhakrishnan.

That commit tried to fix the section mismatch warning by moving the
ppc_corenet_clk_driver struct to init section. This is definitely wrong
because the kernel would free the memories occupied by this struct
after boot while this driver is still registered in the driver core.
The kernel would panic when accessing this driver struct.

Call spin_lock_init() before the spinlocks are used, both in early init
and probe functions preventing a lockdep splat.
I have been observing lockdep complaining [1] during boot on my a80 optimus [2]
when CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING has been enabled. This patch resolves the splat,
and has been tested on a few other sunxi platforms without issue.

- ARM: shmobile: r8a7740: Instantiate GIC from C board code in legacy builds
Set .control_parent for all irqpin instances for sh73a0 SoC when booting
using legacy C.
- ARM: shmobile: r8a7740: Instantiate GIC from C board code in legacy builds
This fixes a long standing problem which has been present since
the sh73a0 SoC started using the INTC External IRQ pin driver.
The patch that introduced the problem is 341eb5465f67437a ("ARM:
shmobile: INTC External IRQ pin driver on sh73a0") which was included
in v3.10.

The arndale-octa board was giving "imprecise external aborts" during
boot-up with MCPM enabled. CCI enablement of the boot cluster was found
to be the cause of these aborts (possibly because the secure f/w was not
allowing it). Hence, disable CCI for the arndale-octa board.

The arm-cci driver completes the probe sequence even if the cci node is
marked as disabled. Add a check in the driver to honour the cci status
in the device tree.

rk3288 SoCs have a function to automatically switch between jtag/sdmmc pinmux
settings depending on the card state. This collides with a lot of assumptions.
It only works when using the internal card-detect mechanism and breaks
horribly when using either the normal card-detect via the slot-gpio function
or via any other pin. Also there is of course no link between the mmc and jtag
on the software-side, so the jtag clocks may very well be disabled when the
card is ejected and the soc switches back to the jtag pinmux.
Leaving the switching function enabled did result in mmc timeouts and rcu
stalls thus hanging the system on 3.19-rc1. Therefore disable it in all cases,
as we expect the devicetree to explicitly select either mmc or jtag pinmuxes
anyway.
